    Tuning for sound

Hey guys i have a question so im going to make this as simple as possible all i want is for my car to sound like a jaguar f-type R V8 like this

They say all it is is a little extra fuel on decel or rpm down and a little late spark if you read this post.
Here they tell you how to do it. http://articles.sae.org/12441/

Can anyone tell me how to use this to do this? This is the #1 reason i bought this #2 is some more TQ & HP so ill take those ideas too. I have a 14 dodge charger AWD Hemi w/ Cat back exhaust and waiting to install long tube headers and cat delete pipes

I'm assuming you are referring to the deceleration pop. The 2010 + Camaro LS3 (manual transmission only) Camaro does this briefly when you decelerate in gear with the clutch out so you may want to look at one of those. I'm not sure about with free revs though since I never do that. I'm not sure about the automatic cars as they use a completely different engine and calibration and I've never driven one. You may look at manual transmission Corvettes with the LS3 as well (2008 to 2013) but I honestly can't remember if they do it or not.

The Gen 5 Camaro's I've driven seem to do this around 2000 RPM or so and 8° to 10° of timing if memory serves me correctly. It reminded me of driving a 1960's vehicle with a carb but I never tried to log or change it so I don't know what to change to make it more aggressive. I would say the article is spot on from a logic standpoint if you think about what happens when a carbed vehicle decelerates with the transmission in gear and your foot off the throttle.

Hope this helps get your wheels of thought turning.

i know with the GM vheicles, they cut the injectors out when you slow down. a lot of the time that causes the poping for a breif second. was very noticeable on my 4.3 with flow master exhaust. because of the exhaust you could tell when the injectors cut out and when they were active.

also when iv tuned my bikes (carbed), if the idle was lean it would induce popping, same thing with my carbed truck for that matter.
