Well I copied over and loaded a tune file from my '13 that I read before flashing back to stock and trading it in on my current '14. That truck would shift around 7k without issue, It did give me about 400 more rpm, but it limits at just under 6400. (My tach is 200 rpm fast I have discovered..) Only thing I can think, there is a table or possibly a hard code in the '14 ecm that is limiting it. Attached is my final attempt with some things copied from this last tune and a couple mph changes towards the top of the tps.

2012 f150 hitting rev limiter at 6400rpm. Hits so hard it takes a minute to shift after you let off the throttle.

None of these ideas will work. Set the shift rpm at 6300 and it shifts perfect. Set it to 6500 rpm and it bounces of a hard limit. I hope the trucks don't have a code for this limit. This truck is pulling hard before it hits the limiter.

Would it be possible that if the tq management tables are only populated to 5900-6250 rpm, could that cause this issue?

    Toby,

Are you experiencing this through all gears? or just 1/2 or 2/3?

Can you add commanded gear to your logs? and is Tune13 your latest revision?

    Cheers,
    -Matt
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies. The first method is far more difficult.

There is not a pid available for commanded gear. Attached is my latest try at figuring this out, but still no success.

Just updated the new op table in the trans side to 7500 and still no go on getting to the 7000 shift points.

When I have more I'll play with it some more.

Just got a chance to update the tune that was hitting the rev limiter. It still is hitting a limiter at 6450 even with the updated file turned up to 7200.

WOT lambda is only populated to 6250. Most if not all scales are limited to 6500 or 6250 in the F150. Is this the problem? I see the Mustangs have the same scales populated to 7500rpm...

I don't believe that is the issue. Even if you are going beyond that RPM it will use the last known RPM/load cell to command against.

Do you have a log showing torque source and throttle angle that you can post?

Of the logs I have TQ Source is 0 and Actual throttle angle is full open with no change between shifts. This isn't an issue with TQ management.

I may have found the problem. I need to add in some stuff, and let you test. Gimme some time.
