Ok, so I picked up 2 512MB SDRAM DIMM's for $42 a piece, corsair value select.. Threw those in the office server. Well, it's an old P2/P3 Intel BX chipset... only supports up to 256MB DIMMS. Wow, great.. 512MB's I got out of that purchase... And I look at socket 478 mobo's and there is zero SDRAM support. *sigh* I need an intel chipset that will support these huge sdram modules and not the socket 360 or whatever intels cheaper setup has.. the one with the audio/video on board...
So anyway, on to this web server.. went up from 64MB to 320MB. How about that.
Maybe now the machine can support the extreme load this forum generates.
