L76 tuning Problem need some advice

    Hello,
    I have a friend with a 2009 G8 with the following mods.
    CAI
    Headers
    Exhaust
I have tuned several vehicles and having some problems with this particular vehicle with KR during slight acceleration.
Tried reducing the KR cells in the main spark table but the KR moves up in the rpm range.
Its not getting any KR during light throttle but as soon as you start to accelerate there it is.
I have read that these cars are problematic with the tune due to the DOD etc.
I gotten the Fuel trims down very close to stoich and disabled DOD or so I thought so im a bit confused at what could be going on
the IAT's were really high and I tried reducing that are on the IAT base table with no luck.
He did say that he has been running 87 oct and we filled up half a tank with 93oct and I would like to think that it has improved but im not sure.
I have no problem being patient and learning from the experience but I sure would like to get my buddys car back on the road ASAP.
ANY help would surely be appreciated.

PS I can attach more logs if needed.

I have been reading and have not found any direct information but have read that the knock sensors are very sensitive and sometimes interfere with headers etc.
I am really against messing with Knock sensors sensitivity and looking for other solutions.
    Thanks

those engines are very knock sensative, adjust and try again. or pull full race gas in it to just make sure its not knock

I'm a huge fan of ensuring knock is real before touching the sensors.

using the scanner, reduce timing by 10 degrees and repeat. If knock goes away you know its a combination of fuel/afr and timing.

ok so after adjusting the MAF slightly it was seeing knock due to lean conditions.
I added 10% to the MAF and boom KR went away.
I then started to tune off the histogram and then got the driveability smoothed out and running like a champ now.

    Thanks Everyone!
