    calibration write not completed

    Hi my name is Ramiro.
I am a newbie and hope to learn a lot. I just got my 2.24 version and removed vats and a few other changes on my 93 lq4 swapped Silverado. Everything went smooth but now I'm trying to write my friends tune which is just deleting VATS and manual trans. When I go to write the calibration it goes through the list of gathering info, validating, requesting access, prep vcm, writing cal, validating.....then the status bar for VCM write completed in 0:31 scrolls across as finished but it doesn't actually make the changes. the window just stays open. The cable status then shows disconnected.
I tried searching, I find a few posts but no solution.
    I tried restarting program
    restarting laptop
    unplugging and restarting interface.

    A little info
    I have the standard version
    its a 2001 5.3, th400 trans
    hp laptop, windows 8
it will read ecm but no changes or errors shown

    thanks in advance

Sounds, to me, like the changes took just fine. After it passes the erase point the calibration is erased, then it flashes in the new calibration.

That's what I thought but when I go to start it, it just runs for a second and shuts off. I swapped the ecm with VATS deleted from another vehicle to verify and it will start and run.

So you tried to a write a different tune to your cars computer?? Like took his file and then wrote calibration only to yours?

    If so, that won't work.

You need to see if your OS can have a segment swap done to manual trans then delete the VATS off the pcm in your vehicle.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

No, each comp has its own file. Each one is licensed. I used my ecm to just make sure everything was good on his s10 to verify no low fuel pressure or mechanical problem.

Tried to write again. It will go till the end and just stops. Maybe someone has had this problem.
We are trying to get this thing down the local track to do its first test run on saturday. Maybe start working the bugs out once we can get it running.

Yup, that write is 100% complete.

See how it says "close" that means the write is done aswell.

Post the tune here if you are still having issues, maybe something was not changed right.

I think I figured out what is wrong. The ecm I am using is from a 2002 escalade. The connectors on the ecm are red and blue and I was under the assumption that it would be DBC. Until I remembered that escalades came with DBW. Am I correct???? When I scanned it yesterday I noticed all was showing activity on the (VCM scanner) gauges except the TPS. How do I change the VIN or is it possible. I figured its a 411 ECM so it should be possible.
