    name this sound

    http://videos.streetfire.net/video/4...12da8a2e9b.htm it doesn't make the noise till about 21 seconds into the video. the first sound you hear is belt squeek don't worry about that its my ac belt. its the other sound i'm worried about and it stops when warm and don't do it when first cranked but a little while after.

    Sounds like normal piston slap?

    i thought piston slap started when you start the engine. it takes a while after i start it then starts rattleing.

    I think the hole in the bearing is going by the feed passage and eventually getting enough oil. On startup its got some oil from when you shut it off, then after a few seconds its dry. That's just what it sounds like to me. I hope I'm wrong too for your sake. Keep us up to date.

    Put a magnetic oil plug in if you haven't got one already. See if there are slivers on it. Also, cut the oil filter open.

    the plug had some stuff on it but i thought it was normal it wiped right off and they were not hard. when i wipe it off it just left a grey spot on the rag.

    That's normal. Kinda like lithium grease.

    Is it louder in the wheel well and underneath than up top? Once side to the other?

    nope its just load all over the place until warm up. both sides too. another guy on ls1tech says his waits a few second after start up to do it too.

    between that sound and my number 1 and 3 hitting a 260 psi compression test and my others hitting a 195 psi this is why i worry lol.
