Yes it does
does your pc give off a distinct *ding* when you connect the interface to it ie its recognizing it?
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

try an alternate usb cable, if that doesn't do the trick email support and we'll have you send in the interface for testing.

I played with a few things and I think I got it working. Device manager now shows under the Universal Serial Bus Controllers HP Tuners MPVI Challen A, and B.
Thanks so much for the quick replies too! I appreciate it. Nice to know you guys are on here to help people out!

Ill try the device manger trick next. This started after I used another friends computer to tune his car.
Now it will not see my VCM on both of my cars
I Seem to be having the exact same problem KTM had. I was tuning my car, all of a sudden, it started giving me the "Interface not found"? And now, I can't see the MPVI in the device manager and when I plug in the interface, it does not recognize or show up in the device manager?
KTM, how did you sort this out?
Everyone else, any suggestions?
Sounds like it could be a bad USB cable.
We got this guy Not Sure, ...
I tried a different cable, no dice...
I will see if I can find a third cable just in case the second one I tried is also bad, but I don't think the cable is the issue.
I'm no computer wizard and this is driving me crazy....
So after playing with it, in the device manager, the MPVI shows up as "USB Composite Device" ???? No more Chanel A and Chanel B? Any idea
im in the same situation can't figure it out at all. i see two usb composite device aswell. i also tried a new cable. and no luck
I did everything from step 1 and till the end got my drivers but I cannot find the hptuners screen on the desktop
OK... I haven't used my Hptuner in almost a year... I got a new laptop ( I don't have my install disk ) I downloaded everything I saw on the hptuner page... It dings when I plug it up but I can't find the program or use it... what am I doing wrong?

Ok, I'm new to this and can't figure it out. I've done everything the instructions say but it still doesn't do what it says it should. After I installed everything and go to the HP Tuners program, it goes to VCM Suite not VCM Editor. Then it has HP Tuners so I click on that and it only has logs and tunes and VCM Scanner options.

You aren't being very specific on what you're trying to do.
What are you trying to do?
Post a log and tune if you want help

I got it figured out finally. Sorry for not being specific. I was just getting frustrated. But now when I plug it in to the car it asks what I want to open the program with. And everything I tried doesn't open anything up.
