    3800 Surge in Gear

    Hi Guys

    I have a friend of mine with a 2001 Buick Regal GSX. He currently has a ZZP tune that he has been running for a number of years. Recently, he began throwing a P1133 along with an Oscillation/Surge in 4th gear around 2000rpm under moderate pedal rotation.

    I'm sort of baffled at what it could be. I have a log file attached with two instances of the issue occuring from timestamp 0:34 to 0:41 and again from 1:12 to 1:17. Locking up the TCC and setting spark to absolute control had little effect on the issue. Any ideas what could cause this surge/oscillation? Thanks guys!

    Anyone think this could be cause by the boost bypass?

    Just wanted to follow up with this thread incase someone else runs into it. The issue ended up being a faulty boost bypass
