    Status bit for brakes?

Can we get a status bit that shows when we are on the brakes? Thanks.

I would think that would be in the BCM, since the ABS is controlled by the BCM. You can always use one of the inputs and tap into the brake light switch.

This is how I'm doing it now with a simple voltage divider circuit to bring the voltage down around 3V going inot input #2. A status bit would be easier when I drive other cars.

The PCM must know about stop light because it
unlocks the converter. I wonder if it's just hiding
    under an assumed name.

This has to be in the PCM somewhere.

"Cruise Brake pedal" switch is a Status bit. It turns red when the brakes are applied. Cruise or no cruise.

I tried that sitting still and got nothing from that status bit.

This morning on the way to work I logged the "Cruise brake pedal" and the "Cruise brake pedal switch" (I think those are the names). Cruise on or off these status bit didn't do anything. Is this a bug?

Cruise is external but the PCM still unlocks the converter
for braking, so must know about brake.

I'm not seeing the cruise control stuff in my latest list
    of available PIDs.
