I see these are all old posts, but also need to find a person with HP Tuners experience in the Vancouver, BC area to help get my hot rod on the road.

I have a 96 3.8L firebird V6 and transmission in a 49 Austin. Reground cam and headers but otherwise the full engine/transmission rebuild is similar to stock. Have a 97 PCM (same pinout as 96). With the stock PCM, it backfires badly in closed loop mode; runs close to 100% in open loop mode. GM mechanic said it needs a custom tune to deal with the cam change. No DTCs.

I need a HP Tuner datalog while on a dyno to guide PCMforless to fix the custom tune it provided on a 97 PCM that made the engine run worse. I have tried all the local dyno shops and none have the capability for this year of engine.

If anyone could help or knows someone who could, please let me know.
