Way to Add Previously Formatted Objects

Rather than having to edit each new project , is there a way to use previously edited objects from other projects? Kind of a pain to edit each new video objects.
    Thanks

Yes, there are two ways to save your customized displays for future use (or to share with other users):

    A) Save your entire layout (or part of it):
    1. Go to "File" menu -> "Export Layout as Template"
    2. Check or un-check the display objects to choose what will be included
    3. Click the "Create" button
    4. Choose a file name and save it (this should be placed in your "Documents/RaceRender 3/Templates" folder, and it will have a .RRT file extension)
      • If it's a data-only layout (ie only includes data displays, no video, etc), use a file name starting with "Data - " and it will be offered in the menu when you add a data file to future projects
      • If it's a complete project layout (ie includes video and everything you want to see), use a file name starting with "Project - " and it will be offered in the New Project Menu for future projects

    B) Save an individual display object:
    1. Double-click on the display object to open its properties box
    2. On the "Style:" line, click the "Export" button
    3. Choose a file name and save it (most objects should be placed in your "Documents/RaceRender 3/Styles" folder, and it will have a .RRO file extension)
      • It should now be offered in the menu that appears when you go to add a new display object, as well as under the "Style:" selections for that type of display object

Important: In all cases, please avoid replacing the default RaceRender template and style files with your own customizations, as these would be overwritten whenever you update this software. Instead, simply create a new file name for your own creations or modifications.
