P16f3 code and REP on a 2014 Silverado

Ok Did a tune on a 2014 Silverado. About a week later customer called and said his truck has gone into REP on the way to Indy. Takes about 3 hours driving to nonstop to go into REP. Had a dealer clear the code. On the way home couple hours in REP again. Only code in the truck is P16F3. Put factory file back in its fine for a 1000 miles. I cant find any info on this code. Tried deleting the code. Truck went into REP with no codes found. Any help on this would be great.

An internet query shows that an updated software calibration has been released to address this concern. (on a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado equipped with a 6.2L engine and built prior to May 19, 2015). But this applies to cold temperature vehicle start?
