What are you using to convert Racerender video to DVD?

Im capturing my video in 1080p, and rendering in Racerender and find that video is not as sharp as the original .mp4 file. Is there a program or technique/settings that will give the final DVD the same quality as the original mp4/video file?
IS DVD creation in blueray the the answer to this?
What programs are you finding to create the DVD? Most I find are quite expensive.
    Thanks

Creating a DVD-Video disc would effectively reduce the resolution of your video to 480p (standard definition), typically 720x480 picture size, due to that being the specification for that format. It will also take additional time for your DVD mastering software to re-encode your .MP4 video file into MPEG-2 for DVD output. So, while you could put a 1080p .MP4 file (or most anything else) onto a DVD-Data disc, the DVD-Video format that most DVD players require is limited to 480p.

To create a playable video disc that uses high definition (such as 1080p), you would need to go with Blu Ray, which is a newer specification that's designed to handle this level of picture detail. This will require a Blu Ray writer, Blu Ray disc, and Blu Ray mastering software, and then you should be able to create a video disc with your full 1080p.

Thanks. Just what I needed to know.

got an LG Ultra Slim blueray/dvdwriter with Cyberlink Power Producer software on Windows 10. Using Memorex 6x bd-r disks and am unable to get past 14% "creating and organizing folders". Tried slower write speed at 2x with same results. What burner/software are you using?
