    Obd I

    I have a question and have not seen anything that would clue me in on my own, so I figured I would just post my stupid question.
    I currently have a 99 GTP with which I use my HPT on, but I am about to sell it and buy a new toy. I was looking at a 1997 Trans Am. The car has the OBDII but it is an LT-1 car so does the HPT software work for tuning this car?
    I ask because I swear I read somewhere it has to be a 98 and up LS-1 car. Whats the scoop?
