Darold_Levi,
Were you successful? I just purchased the lockouts for my expedition and I am researching the cheapest ways to tune it.

Darold,
Were you able to tune your vehicle successfully? I recently installed the cam phaser lockouts and with an HP tuner I disabled the Variable Camshaft. Now sometimes at idle my engine starts to shutter. I'm curious if you did yours and what your tune was.
Thanks,
Did anyone ever figure this out? I see that it was said you just disable VVT but does that completely fixed the problem after installing the limiters?
Thanks
I have done a few dozen VCT deletes, and even dyno'd one just to see if there was truely a measurable power loss. The power loss is negligible and can be gained back by actually doing a tune aimed at gaining power compared to a stock tune. If you are getting heavy bucking, jerking, extreme low power, or other issues then the cam timing is incorrect or you have other mechanical issues.
