Well the new IDS software (106.01 and up) no longer allows changing of VIN numbers when replacing PCMs (like using a used pcm). Can I change VIN using HPTuners? If so, what is required in the process. I do not have my software in front of me, but have a customer asking me about it.
Hi in v104 if you do a full repro and yes vin will be change but also strategy... i tried to swap back strategy but i have no idea i wrote a post here a couple days and nobody answer..

No you cannot change the vin on Ford applications with our hardware/software.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
