    L83 Engine swap FSCM

    Swapping a L83 into a -72 Firebird and want to use the FSCM.
    I read all threads about the possibility to flash that controller but still have some questions.

    E92 ECM is a 2016 (12673195) and I have a new FSCM for a 2014 (23184800). After some research it appears as the 23184800 FSCM is dedicated only for 2014 and there is a different part no for 2015-2017.

    1. Is it possible to flash the 2014 FSCM and use it with the 2016 E92? I guess not based on the info I found so far.

    2. Does it make any difference weather the FSCM is used previously in another vehicle or brand new from GM?

    Anybody has an idea on this? I dont want to brick the 2014 FSCM and loose one license by testing if it is possible.
