    I think I misunderstood this post. Apparently you can purchase a package that only scans.

    I noticed in the bin directory you can either save a file to disk or open it. I don't remember having the option to open it, only to save it to disk. I was asking if that option was what he was referring to.

    ahh ok...there was never a bin directory on this site in the past. And yes they are now going to sell their scanner separatly, price has yet to be determined, but will eventually be able to scan GM/Ford/Dodge without any additional "modules" like autotap or what have you. There will also be upgrade paths for people.
    It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
