Question 2014 Mustang GT rev limit patch wont work

    Hey guys,

After applying the rev limit patch, car will still rev up to 7500-7600rpm. Not more.
Maybe there are some other tricks and magic involved to rev it to 8000-8200rpm other than rev limiters?

    Many thanks for any help!

Without patch it cuts at 7100rpm.

Other guys manage to rev up to 8150rpm with patch. But this coyote, for some reason, won't rev that high.

Make sure you are not hitting OSS limit anywhere.

    Try raising CHRONO.

Not sure why you have max retard rpm set to 500 and why you disabled knock.

Also ETC torque vs rpm has to be raised.

No offence buddy but this tune is butchered.

he's prob also hitting the EOT and TOT rev limits...jsut applying the path doesn't let you rev higher, you still need to make sure everything else in the tune will allow it. All the patch does is apply some of the Boss coding to raise the hard limiter to 8100

You mean the Chrono disable @ Desired airmass tab? Raising from 7500 to 8200?
fail RPM @ Mass AirFlow Sensor @ Engine Diag?
Torque Max vs RPM @ ETC torque management?

    Many thanks!

Have a Q about the patch. Sounds like you take a bone stock tune, activate the OS patch in VCM edotor, rename file and load to car with no other changes. Then, I assume, pull that tune and examine to discover rpm limit can be raised. Is that the procedure?
