2000 Silverado oil pressure hp tuners

Does the pcm read oil pressure on a 2000 Silverado? I think I remember hp tuners showing 0 oil pressure while scanning mine some time ago. I thought the sender just talked to the gauge but now I?m wondering if the sender goes to both the pcm and gauge? Any help?

I have a 1999 Silverado that does the same. The oil pressure sensor on these early Gen 3 trucks goes directly to the instrument panel not through the ECM/PCM.

The only Gen 3 engine that oil pressure data was processed through the PCM was the Corvette. 3 wire sensor to the PCM, and the gauge was driven by Class 2 data. I don't know however if you would need a Corvette OS to read those pins if you did wire it up, and of course *your* gauge would no longer work.....you'd have to read it from a tablet or scan tool.

Late (2003-2007) Gen 3 engines have oil pressure data on the PCM.
