e85/ e90 cold weather start help

    Hi guys,

New to doing all of the tuning on my own, car was tuned by a reputable shop, but cold weather was never nailed down. Car was tuned on pump e85, but I put ignite race fuel 116 (e90) in for winter. In warmer weather car started up no problem with the ignite fuel. 2002 Turbo Camaro, LS2 block with AFR 225 heads, super vic intake, FIC 2000 injectors, 4303 pump. Can post any other details needed. Attached the tune as well.

Id appreciate if you guys could point me in the right direction? Im guessing right off the rip itll need a little more fuel, but it was always a bitch to start in the cold even with pump e85. Anything below 50* and it gets real tough to start.

    Thanks!

Here is what I would change first: Map sensor data is not correct, get the correct numbers for linear and offset. In DTC's--P0101,102, 103 are set no mil light, should be mil on first error to get to SD. Dynamic airflow--high should be about 8000 rpm. Airflow--Maf--make the first cell 15.0, leave the rest 0. Now you are probably going to have to retune. You could add some startup fuel in the colder areas after you get the rest sorted out.

thanks @lakegoat for the insights. its a 3 bar map sensor, what do you normally see for linear / offset? And it started and ran fine this fall with this same tune, making 800+ to the wheels. I always start it up a few times over the winter on a "warm" winter day, but it didnt wanna start so I figured I would try to clean up the cold start tune areas.

It depends on the map sensor mfg and part number. I know some tuners play with those numbers to adjust something else, but---. Add some startup fuel to the colder areas and see what that does for you. That would be a quick change.
