Question 2000 Mustang GT Tach Speedometer Failure with HP Tuners MPVI2?

I am currently working on a 2000 Mustang GT (4.6L 2V MT) and have had trouble with the the tachometer and speedometer shutting off with the HP Tuners MPVI2 plugged in. When this occurs the data feed to VCM Scanner also fails. The issue is not present when the HP Tuners MPVI2 is not plugged in. Is there some sort of compatibility issue that I am not aware of? I've checked the applicable fuses on the car and everything seems to be good to go. Have also confirmed the the voltage from the car is good.

Thanks for the insight. Perhaps this is due to VCM Scanner being setup incorrectly?
