Is it true that the new HPT versions tunes for you?

My brother told me about the Real Time Tuning, and that it would tell you what to change to tune your car, and that the next release will literally tune the car for you.

    1. Is this true?

    2. Will it be able to tune no matter what mods are done?

If this is going to be true, to hell with borrowing his!!! I'll buy my own!

With AutoTune, you will still want to go over and adjust as necessary as it will depend on the quality of data that you are recording. Bad data = Bad tune.

What about the Real Time Tuning? Does that tell you what to change?

I don't want to have to pay to have a tune everytime I do something to the car. Plus, I want to have a WOT tune for the track, and a Partial Tune for day to day driving.

Curious. Here is a question I have. So you essentially data log your driving habits and WOT runs (whether it's 5 minutes or an hour) and you can tell the software (after reading the tables and verifying everything looks OK) to load and calibrate a tune? How does that work? I'm a newbie so you have to bear with me.

Also after reading the post I see it's not available until the next version release?

    Thanks for everything

using our Real Time Tuning feature it will auto adjust the tables while your driving...you setup the basic guidelines & it will change the tables for you. Some info can be found here http://www.hptuners.com/help/vcm_editor_rtt_using.htm

You still need to determine what tables you want it to change, but it will make the changes for you in real time.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Super cool information Does the program know how to interept changes in the fuel table even with a CAI? Does the MAF frequency cause anything to be thrown out of wack badly at all?

I thought the PCM/ECU did the same function at RTT does.. I say this because I think my car made the changes to the fuel maps shortly after I did an idle relearn with the intake just installed.

I don't see it happening anytime soon, something about how the way the pcm is segmented doesnt necessarily lend itself to be RTT friendly.

I know that auto isn't out yet. But if RTT and later Auto Tune make tuning the car that easy, then I can have my WOT tune and my daily tune. That will definately get me to purchase my own copy of HPT!!

I'm sure it'd be able to work out the VE tables by itself... from what i know, is that it's a basic equation once you have all the data recorded. Good to hear, can't wait for more to be released on the I6s! (hint hint!!)

How will we have access to this when it comes avaliable? Will it be there in our software via a update or do we have to buy another version?
