Just swapped a L33 in my 99 S10 . engine has LS6 intake with cable throttle, BTR Truck Norris cam in 3 inch air intake. It will not hold its target idle tune. it starts fine but after runs a few minutes and it will drop down to the target idle and hold it for a few seconds. then slowly it climbs back up about 250 RPM higher. I checked for vaccum leaks and everything seems good. I even changed out the throttle body to different one I know works fine. any Ideas? Thanks
I can only assume you have tuned it with HP Tuners? With that cam you are going to need to tune BRAF, your VE table will most likely need reductions in the 400-800-1200 ranges, MAF table will need work, and you *might* need to either open the set screw on the throttle blade, or drill slightly larger the hole in the throttle plate depending on idle count #'s. As mentioned, we need to see a copy of the current tune to see what changes have been made, and what changes need to be made. You made note that this has a cable throttle body, but you don't mention which throttle body you are using. There may be other necessary changes made to the tune depending on what size throttle body you are using.
Then a log tracking STIT, LTIT, along with the other usual channels, will help you figure out what is going on.
Try this Channels list and post the log and tune file used.
That 107 has a great flat torque curve, but it is not exactly EFI friendly. Just put one in a 2012 Denali. Gen4. The Gen 4 are a little tricky since they do not report LTIT and STIT to Histogram the errors.
Scroll to the bottom or refresh your page. i edited it, the pics were wwaayy down at the bottom, I deleted the blank space lol.
Pics are attached thumbnails and should be in my post??
also when i driving through my neighborhood holding steady around 22-25mph it bucks alot. you can see that about the last 5-8 minutes of this log. feels like im on and off the throttle.
