    looking for tips / advice on current tune

    08 silverado LY5 with 228/230 cam and DoD delete, shorty headers, stock cats, 3" straight pipe. stock 243 heads port and polished, stock 87mm TB ported and polished. trying to get this thing dialed in for best overall performance on 93 octane fuel. heres my current tune and most recent logs.

    For one you're super rich - clean that up before you start messing with timing. Next you have to think about what a cam is giving you and adversely what you are losing with it. Think of it from an adiabatic efficiency standpoint. No different than a diesel being low on compression for example. With most cams you lose dynamic compression in the lower rpms then hopefully gain it back and then some in the higher rpms, so you have to adjust timing thinking about it from that perspective. Also knock settings on these guys are super sensitive - up to you on whether or not to dial them back a little, but typically even 30% will still show plenty of false knock.

    Dunno why from the little I looked, but timing is ~10* less than what's in the maps, even after the knock retard goes away. IAT being sky-high is the usual cause but yours looks OK (87* or so, I think it was?).

    I have a stock everything-but-tune 5.3 LH6 that makes 400lb-ft & 390hp and only needs 87-88% injector duty cycle. Same injectors as yours. Someting bad wrong.

    You shouldn't need 130% duty cycle to make 40 less HP.

    You aren't doing something silly like trying to tune with wideband data while it's still in closed loop, are you?

    What are you doing for 'tuning'? Forcing open loop and using wideband data, or closed loop and using trims? It's still between a half and one full point richer, according to the wideband, than commanded. Whatever you're doing should be working to correct that, and it doesn't appear to be doing that.

    Put a mechanical gauge on it, verify this pressure reading is real.
