If you need to write something that is available to edit in both the stable & beta versions, are you more likely to brick a module using the beta version? Say i have something simple to do that can be done with either, is it more risky to do it with beta?
No you aren't.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
