LQ4 6.0 col air intake tune

Had to do a front end repair on my 05 Denali, and put a cold air intake on in the process. Haven?t tuned before and figure it?s a good spot to start. Still doing my research and ended up here. Any information would be appreciated.

Which hot air intake did you put on the truck?

A lot of times they'll throw off the MAF. That's all you have to worry about.

And yes CAI's are usually nonsense. Factory is a cold air intake. Look where the airbox gets air.

Some shitty one online that was cheaper than the stock system. It’s just my winter shitbox. This is more for experience than anything. I assumed I would just need to tune the MAF so that’s what I’ve been researching, thank you for confirming.

Depending on if the MAF got rotated or moved further up or downstream it could affect the air model. Or if the intake tube is bigger or more restrictive. Recalibrate the MAF and then disable it and recalibrate the VE. If nothing else itll just get you that much closer and give you some experience. Heres some links that might help.
