time to get a grip on VE tuning

just wanting to get this correct. here's a log and my program. added headers and the LTFT is way off. if i understand this correctly, i need to do a paste special ADD of the histogram LTFT to the VE table correct?

Be sure you really believe the trimming, headers can make the
NBO2s unreliable and jack the trim. I'd just eyeball the sensor
waveform in the area where you see large trimming and see
if it's lumpy (bad) or sharp & tight (good).

thanks. but, my question is still unanswered. when the LTFT are positive, when you copy and paste special, you add correct? should i do a 1/2 deal?

one of these days, we need to meet.

no...trims are in % not whole numbers so your not going to add your going to multiply.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

no trouble...glad you caught it now...there are alot of people that don't think of that & keep adding that number instead of multiplying & I think thats why you'll see alot of people will REALLY screwed up ve tables. Its second nature to most of us that have been doing this a while, but not so for many people just starting custom tuning.

just to clarify (i'm one of those adding guys) If the LTFT is +7 in say cell 30kpa/0.8 rpm then I got to te VE table and multiply the same cell by 7%? If the trim is negative do I divide?

your multiplying. So if said cell is currently at 30% and your trims are positive 10% then you'd multiply by said 10%. If they were negative 10% you'd multiply by -10%. Im not sure where you got dividing from since hptuners doesnt include a divide option in the paste special feature

I haven't had a lot of oppourtunity to mess with the tuner due to weather and what not. Just wanted to make sure I had it straight before I effed something up.

    "adding" 10% = 1.1 [X] button
    "subtracting" 10% = 0.9 [X] button
