Curious question. I'm pretty sure my weird shift feel is due to the spark retard vs. torque reduction table. During shifts, I can feel and hear the RPM drop, and it sounds exactly like you see the spark curve(in the attached log). You can see the spark curve in the VCM scanner during shifts looks like an upside-down staple where it starts at 30ish degree timing then drops 15-20 degrees then rises again. Hopefully, I described that well enough for the reader to visualize it. I'm driving a 2003 tahoe. It is my daily driver and other than this minor thing the shifts feel firm and fine. The trans is 4l60e, transgo HD2 shift kit, and an FTI 2800 stall. The engine is 5.3 with some modifications. I believe the info is in my signature.
Should I leave this table alone or modify it? The question is coming from my concern about longevity rather than performance.
You can see the spark reduction I'm talking about at around 10 minutes of driving and up.
