I think there is a firmware update in 5.0.4 for the MPVI2 but I don't think we've rolled out anything new since then. No need as its been pretty stable.

It's been working fine since I got it four years ago, lives in my car pretty much all the time. Figured there might be some updates that I missed since the last time I checked, but it sounds like I'm good.
I woudlnt do it. Newer firmware may not be compatible with older versions of the software. You potentially could lose access to things, HpTuners removed.
That's not an issue, there are ways, and I'll keep it at that.
