    4l80e shifting super hard

I have a friend of mine that I am trying to help out. I don't normally mess with Transmission shift points or anything because i don't know enough about it to do it properly. My buddy has this GMT800 platform 1500 that he had a shop do a 4l80e swap on. He used a 200 stall torque converter. I see they have some changes to the shift modifiers. But this thing hits 3-4 shift really hard. Like almost feels like something is broken. I have confirmed the fluid is good and have confirmed the wiring is correct. Does anyone have any insight? I haven't been able to grab a log file because I always have my kids with me and its a single cab truck.

Without a log I can't really help but there is not a whole lot on the control side of things that could give you a harsh 3-4. Is this a rebuilt transmission or a used one? If rebuilt, any idea what was done to it? Also, how do the 1-2 and 2-3 shift feel? Lastly just a detail but you made a typo for the stall speed of the converter, what is the correct number?

Nothing wrong with putting some trans TQ management back in it, you know. Very little has been changed on the trans side and what has been changed wouldn't make it do what you're describing, other than the TM being all zeroed out.

It was a rebuilt trans. Don?t know much about the internals unfortunately. The torque converter is a Hughes 2000 stall. The 1-2 is pretty firm, 2-3 is firm. 3-4 feels like a hammer hit. I?ll try and get a log soon
