Unhappy Over fueling pre tune? Tune pre loaded

I swapped my Third-gen Pontiac with a 5.7 out of a 2002 Pontiac Trans am. I had tune pre loaded from someone to make the car run. These are my specs

    LS1
BTR Stage 4 Cam Kit with springs and retainers
    Stock 243 heads
    Melling Oil Pump (High flow)
    LS7 Lifters
    Stock intake
    Long tube headers 1 7/8
    3" Speed engineering exhaust
    Stock Injectors
Bosch O2 Sensors (no rear o2s)

    4l60e
    3200 - 3600 stall
    Shift Kit

Now the car does run but it over fuels like crazy, just trying to run it for a short period of time completely fouls the plugs. I can usually get 1 or 2 cranks out of the car before the plugs are so black they cant create spark. Tons of black smoke and soot. Usually after these 2 cycles I have to change the oil because it is usually so thin it starts to seep out of the rear main. None of the injectors are stuck open because it is a even flow on both sides, neither side has more smoke than the other. The car holds fuel pressure and does not bleed off, I have a constant 60 psi fuel pressure with a corvette fuel filter that regulates fuel. I am new at tuning and have done some research and I am slowly learning more but I am curious on things I could change on the tune to make it stop ruining plugs and make it run decent enough to drive.

I only have the tune file since I don't want to run the car since it will over fuel and once again ruin my plugs and fresh oil. Do I need to run a cycle to get more logs or will this give all the information I need?

No Bosch O2s in GM vehicles, ever. GM/Delco, NTK, Denso only. No Amazon Marketplace.

If it has stock 2002 LS1 injectors why was the Injector Flow Rate table changed? What is the fuel pressure in the rail as measured by a diagnostic-type mechanical gauge? A fuel pressure gauge is to EFI as a timing light and dwell meter were to the points-and-condenser era. What is the rest of the fuel system?

I will note that about the O2's I was recommended by someone else to buy BOSCH but I will get some AC Delco. I don't know anything about the current tune, It was a tune I purchased from someone to get my project running, I purchased HPTuners because I was unhappy with the results I received and I think personally with help from the forums and my own research I could have a better output.

The fuel system is brand new. I purchased a WALBRO 255 fuel pump, brand new Third-gen sending unit and I have run all new braided steel fuel lines. I have between 58 and 62 PSI with a mechanical gauge at the fuel lines and the return is apart of the corvette fuel filter that is located in the factory fuel filter location.

    Thanks for the reply

    I'll second the Denso recommendation.

Really need to see a log. Try to get it to start and run even if its just for less than a min.

a decent portion of our customers say our initial tune is off.. when a IAT, MAP, etc is bad causing it to over fuel.

I have not reviewed the tune file.

Bone stock VE and MAF tables. IFR has been LOWERED for some reason. Everything about that toon is too much fuel.

All they did was turn off a bunch of codes. It is in no way a startup file for the camshaft.

It's also a manual trans file.

Hope you didn't pay money for that.

I wouldn't worry about data logging that. Wait until you have something worth logging.

Roger, I will work on messing with the tune. Do you think I am better off just getting a base tune for a 02 Trans am with an Automatic transmission and work from there or just continue messing with the tune I currently have? I am fresh fresh with this program and am just doing research through videos and forums to a degree.

If you have an automatic transmission you need to start with an auto file.

Or you can segment swap yours. The only reason to do that at this point in the game for you is so you won't have to license another file. Just pull a 2002 F body auto file off the repository and swap the trans and trans diag. segments and you should be good to go/
