    weird hp readings

So i have a question someone may be able to answer. I have a tune on my car and runs great and I figured out how to add the horsepower config onto the log. On 2 different tunes the hp is almost 80 hp less versus a different tune but there is NO WAY one tune is making that much more than the other they feel dam near the same but in the logs they are completely different, what in the tune can affect this number? I mean I'd think they were very similar in driving and im sure theres a small difference in power but not 80 hp/ and 100 tq that would be very noticable when driving it.

    Thanks guys

    How are you measuring HP?

    That is likely the issue.

Post the 2 different tunes and corresponding data logs. No one will be able to tell you anything without them.

HP calc in HPTuners scanner is just a mathematical output based on torque. Torque is just a mathematical output based on airmass. Increasing the MAF will show more torque. Reducing the MAF will show less torque. HP will follow.

There are some other things you can change in the tune that affect the ECU's calculated torque. ANYTHING that affects calculated torque will affect the Horsepower math in the Scanner.

TLDR; ignore it. Once you deviate from stock, its mostly inaccurate.
