can i turn off the secondary air system on this car

You can remove the system.

Do following for all Secondary Air Injection codes -

Engine Diag>DTC's>Uncheck SES Enable
Engine Diag>DTC's>Set Error Mode to "No Error Reported"

There is no actual Enable/Disable Tab for Secondary Air System.

thank you that is what i did and it seems fine. a customer of mine put a used motor in the car and the motor didn'thave the correct head for secondary air
