Flash only TCM

Hello, i have found this thread on a old post from 2009 where HPtuners says they are gonna add TCM only flash, but i can still not find it in Editor.. am i blind or have HPt not implemented it??

i need to flash TCM only from a tune (OS) and the ECU from stock ecu. currently i cant find a way to remove ECU so i only flash TCM or move TCM from one file to a ECU only other file.

if u go to flash it the popup should have the option to not flash the ecu so only the tcm will be flashed

Yea, but you have to license the ecu, which is insane just to flash the tcm..

Because the tcm is FREE in this application which the purchase of the ecm license.

So you feel its unreasonable to pay to use the software that applies the file to a control module. You can always use sps, but you still have to pay for that as well

Thanks that makes sense if there is a ECM license. Can you tell what applies if theres a tune with ONLY TCM? last i checked you did not have to license anything.
My point if, if i need a TCM file from another tune, i shuld not have to license ANOTHER tune other than the one thats already in the truck? I hope you can see what i mean and the confusion arround why sometimes the TCM is free and others it requires a ECU..

and to mbray01, no i have 0 issues licensing the file, not even the slightest, what i have an issue with is that the tcm flash is free sometimes and other not. im not gonna license another tune just to get access to flash the tcm OS from that tune when if it was a TCM only upload it wuld have been free..

our supported vehicle list shows all the tcm's that we support that we offer a separate license on.
