    the man stated that on a avg day, the pressure at Bandimere is almost no different than the pressure at a near sea level track

    .5 kpa is the figure he stands by

    as someone who raced both top fuel and pro stock nationally, i can assure you that is not true

    in reality that number would be closer to 20 kpa

    in order to get pro stock to leave on the hill we had to increase launch rpm by over 10%

    AND that was after switching to a 10+ percent lower final drive ratio!

    Agree... I used to see 83-84kpa in metro Denver. Heading up towards Golden and Idaho Springs, you tip down into the 70s. Top of Mt Evans, variable...but around 65kpa. Almost 40kpa below sea level.

    Think the OP was more asking the whats and the whys for baro learning though...nobody is contesting thin air in the mountains lol.

    to me it sounded like that was exactly what purple was contesting

    as though he was looking at corrected barometric pressure, not the station pressure
