Better late than never, but I have been lurking and reading here for a bit when I have the time. I am also brand a$$ new to tuning with HP tuners. I am a good mechanic but that's not my job or what pays the bills. Its just what gives me peace when I'm not swearing pissed or frustrated with Midwest rusted bolts or the mystery bolt still hanging on somewhere.

Oh yea, my name is Ryan. I am currently playing with and building a 2000 Camaro Z28 6M. Very basic build right now just long tubes, LS6 intake and a bunch of suspension/brake parts for now.

Im using this car to learn the software while doing MAF then SD tuning. Once I am comfortable with tuning on a stock/bolt on motor I will be adding heads, cam and fuel injectors. Ultimately I would want to add some boost but I will more likely than not sell the Camaro and then start all over on a 99-02 Trans Am. (love those looks)

Thank you for the knowledge in advance. You have already helped a lot just by letting me read.

    Cheers!

    Good day All !!!
My name is Marc ,Originally from Quebec city , now in Ceylon Saskatchewan.
I am drag racer at heart , I've raced a few cool Street-n-Strip cars . Mopar all the way . Specialist in carburetor. I LOVE ThermoQuad
Although as an automotive tech I 've been working on many fuel system from Rochester BV to 2013 EFI system . I have just lately bought myself
a modern muscle car. Gees are they ever fun to drive and quiet !!! Anyway , Swap an SRT 6.1 in my '05 Magnum , got a good friend to perform some tuning
to complete swap from 5.7 . I discover how user friendly the HP tuner VCM suite is . I just ordered MPVI3 to start my study in the Tuning world.
I don't know how deep I will dive in but for sure will tinker my cars and trucks to optimize efficiency + performance .

    Hi all,

New to HP TUNERS AND EFI Tuning. I’ve been reading the forum for a couple of years now, checking out a few things.
Well I finally bit the bullet and bought HP Tuners MVPI3 with the ProLink cable and a Aeroflow Digital Wideband AFR.
I have a 2009 Holden VE SS-V Commodore and have put in a mild cam and Pacemaker full system. It already had a Growler intake so now I need to do some tuning.
Hopefully once I get into I can get some tips and tricks off of you guys.

    Cheers Brett

    Hi,

My name is John and I'm from Hamilton, Ontario Canada. I am used to tuning the old school Carb/Distributor type engines and have been casually learning how the new systems work. i have a background in robotics and automation so I know a little about coding. I have had a 2013 GT500 Shelby and now a 2021 Mustang GT with a dealer installed Roush stage 2 super charger. There are a couple of things I'd like to tweek. One being the fan thresholds so that they come on sooner and shut of later. I also find, at times, there is a slight flair between the 4th and 5th shift (10R80 auto) on any of the performance drive modes. Its intermittant. Id like to tighten that up a bit. I'll be asking alot of questions. Sorry in advance

Hello, My name is Reece and I have a 99 Silverado with a LM7 block built for nitrous, previous owner did all the work so I bought HP Tuners to verify and tweak the tune on it. Also my wife is a transmission shop owner/builder. Having HP Tuners helps the shop especially with 6l80's torque converter shudder. Hope to learn and grow as a tuner building the confidence to tune more vehicles.

Hello everyone my name it Mitch, I am also known as Design Build Drive. I do LS swaps and race a 1986 c10 on a custom home built chassis. I would say a know a bit about LS swaps and stand alone tuning but I still have a lot of holes to fill.

Hey everybody. I've been a longtime user of SCT product for custom tuning (not myself, but by the major tuner companies). I have some experience with Cobb, and just recently got my first HPT product, the RTD.

I have a 2021 F150 3.5L Ecoboost. This is the first device I've had to flash tunes with that doesn't have an actual monitor, and I do not want to tie up my phone for that either, so I'm looking for options for a monitor that will run full-time when the truck is running. I'd like to monitor boost pressure, iat2, ECT, oil temp, knock, and battery v.

Question #1: Once the RTD is used to flash my tune (after all datalogging is completed), does the RTD need to remain plugged into the obd2?

Question #2: If not, what monitors would be compatible to run through the obd2? Banks idash? Edge CTS, etc???

    Hi Everyone.

My name is Luis and guess I should have introduced myself yesterday before posting. I'm new to HP tuning and am looking forward to learning all I can from everyone. I'm currently building a 1972 C-10 pick-up which has an LS swapped 6.0L DBW with a 4L80E transmission and a P59 ECM. I've helped my buddy get his LS swapped C-10 running which has a 6.0L DBC and 4L80E transmission that I had to segment swap his 4l80E transmission onto his P01 ECM that I was able to find a matching OS in the HP Tuners Repository.

I'm having a difficult time locating a matching OS for my P59 ECM so I'm really hoping someone here can educate me on segment swapping in HP Tuners. I believe the Operating Systems must match in order to properly segment swap transmissions but I've also read elsewhere that that's not necessarily true so I'm a little confused lol. Any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Hello! My name is Roy, and I am an alc... Wait, wrong forum.. Uhh, anywho, I am not new to tuning, I have tuned many Honda platforms on Hondata, Neptune, and KTuner, and had my own single cam 1.6L built and tuned to 400whp/360wtq. I have recently acquired a 2017 Camaro LT that was advertised by the seller as a V6 but when I got to it, discovered it was a 2.0 turbo and immediately purchased as I had once owned a small stable of Nissan 240sx and having been a Honda fan since then, my heart was truly with the boosted RWD platform so I jumped at the opportunity when it arose. I have begun the journey into making this little gem into something special and see that the MPVI3 seems to be the highest recommended and rated tuner at this time that I am exploring. I would love to go complete standalone with Haltec or similar but I just can't argue pricing vs goals hard enough to force that purchase and conversion. I look forward to this little adventure and am hoping to build this little gem to a respectable level over the next year or 2.

Howdy, new to the forum and tuning.
    Have a 2018 Suburban and 2015 Silverado, both L83 / 6L80.

    Aftermarket TC in the Silverado.
Recent warranty reman tranny in the Suburban?will be swapping the TC at first service.

Initially interested in trans/TC tuning and disabling DOD.

But planning for hardware delete and cam upgrade in the future?will likely leave that tune to the pros.
