    Not starting

Ok I?m gonna start a new thread with this problem.
I have been working on this truck of mine and some have been helping me with it. 04 Silverado. It in the last few weeks when I drive it the cluster would cut off all gauges go to zero. Then I could turn on the four ways and it would cut cluster back on. Now I can?t crank the truck at all I thought it was battery replaced and still nothing. I?ve checked fuses and took steering column apart checking wires. Now you can spin the truck over with mashing the relay together It when I try to scan the truck with hp tuners I get a message saying ( unable to detect vehicle?s diagnostics protocol ,it is possible that vehicle is not supported by vcm scanner. And possible controllers I. Vehicle are not responding for various reason )

So I am lost on what to do now. I?m leaning towards the computer is shot Please any advice will help

Damaged data wires, modules not getting power, bad module shorting out the data wires, dead ECM etc.You need to get a service manual and folllw the diagnostic for a no start condition.

I just got it to crank. So I did have a dead battery and I bought a new one but it didn’t crank. So before I found out the battery was dead I tried to load a file to the truck and it didn’t finish. So I was reading an article that a guy said to retry to write and it worked. Thanks for help. I have traced wires and found that my tow haul was not working cause orange wire was broken. lol.

so you installed two new batteries?

sounds like you need to go back to automotive 101 and start your diagnosing over.
Nothing of what you are describing has anything to do with hptuners.

Not tryin to be a jerk here, but, if you dont know if your battery is dead or not, this really isnt the place you'll get the help you need.

I'd suggest facebook, as it seems to be the new google.

I first tried to write a tune it failed.

I thought it was a dead battery so I got one And installed it and the truck would not crank.

So I thought it was a bad wire or something because I had been having issues with cluster cutting off. So I look all under dash and fuse box for any bad wires.

No luck. Then I read that if you tried to write and it failed to try it again. So I just went out and did a write again and the truck fired up.

    That’s one battery not two.

    And no offense taken.

Sometimes I write everything together and it’s hard to understand me. lol
