File and a scan would help. Nobody can help you with just that comment.

I can get the stock tune from the car but I can't get to idle long enough to get good data.

thats because you need to make and write a base startup tune, and dial it in from there.

Especially if you can't post anything more than a single sentence at a time. Good luck with that.

I made a post yesterday that has 4 tunes attached to it. load one in as a compare. you have to focus on your spark advanced at startup, part throttle and mbt tables. I've seen people +6 on everything but give it a lil more thought than that. if you can't get it with that go over to airflow tab and find start up airflow, set the 60 count and above to 4.0. that might get you going. if not add 10% to VE at startup in idle range. start trying shit. save your stock tune and don't save over it. then every single change you make from one tune to the next, save it before you write it to the PCM. the next tune, save it as a different tune so you can see what was changed. I have 25 files for my 05 5.7 and only a couple of them can idle, and none even idle good. just start working on it. it's called delayed gratification. if you can do it yourself you're going to be thrilled. you can brag about it. Otherwise your inbox is already full of people telling you they will tune it for a couple hundred bucks.

Huge strides for me, I'm certain a lot of you would have this going a lot quicker. I am looking for some pointers, if you can give me any. The last couple changes I made to get it to go were the timing tables. part throttle and mbt spark. I also set the 60 counts and up on the start up airflow to 4.0. It started up with a lot of throttle and needed a lot of throttle to keep going. It was enough to get a good log though. I'm not really certain how to learn from logs yet. I put in a comp 274h with some pac-1218 springs and new pushrods etc.

If you can give me any pointers, I'd love some guidance.

Heres my workflow and a log after pcm2_4 was written

I'd suggest you maybe refrain from giving others advice until you get a little further along in your abilities. I'd also suggest everyone else take your advice with a mound of salt.

A starting point is better than nothing...
Share the stock tune and the latest you have. Go from there

    Also, whichever log you have

I will say again, I am totally green, figuring it out on my own. I installed a pretty big cam, got advice from other folks from different places, I shared what worked out for me as well as offering files to compare to see what might work.

    again, weird flex

Not sure what "weird flex" means but I surely don't go offering advice to people on how to fix a flat screen TV because I've fixed one, one time.

You readily admitted you don't even know how to "learn from data logs". You haven't successfully tuned 1 single car yet and you're on a message board offering advice.

it is in reference to another's ego

the term is most typically used when someone is boasting about something they prolly should not be boasting about

You're silly. Anyway, I absolutely offer my advice on things I've done once, usually mentioning something like oh yeah I had to do that once and did it this way. Generally speaking the people I mention stuff like that to have the genuinely standard IQ required to know I'm not a professional nor PRETENDING TO BE ONE

I am just offering little tid bits that might help in the right direction. I also told him there's probably a lot of folks just like you who are ready to write a tune for him. No bullshit from me. You're a clown though my dude.

    Ironic considering your screen name.

I'm not the one offering "help" while admitting "I don't know how to learn from data logs". Look in the mirror dude. Only clown here is you. 20 years in the business and with a great rep, I'm not the clown here.
