TCC Limit max torque vs max engine torque

Anyone know the rationale/significance of the TCC limit max torque being set to 3023 ft.lbs when disabled, yet the editor description states this should be set higher than max engine torque when disabled? On the LS2 GTO's max engine torque is set to 6046 so this doesn't make sense.

I think they may be referring to Max Engine Torque that the engine can actually generate and not necessarily to the limit in the PCM. 3023 ft lbs is pretty high for an NA motor...

    Thanks EC,

Definitely high values for a NA engine. However in some of the 06-07 OEM calibrations this limit is actually set higher (and therefore in line with the editor description).

    Another GM mistake?

This would then appear to be another parameter that does not have an active role in the performance tuning of the car???

Sorry for the continual questions but this stuff is addictive once you get into it! I haven't had this much fun with a car in years!
