    6L90 overheating trans or tune

    Good evening,
This is my first post here. This is an incredible community and insanely helpful. I have tried searching through some of this information and have yet to find any conclusive information. The backstory, I have a 2000 Land Rover Discovery 2 with a 5.3 LM7 (converted the crank sensor, cam sensor, and a few others to make it act like a Gen 4) and a 6L90 adapted to the Land Rover LT230. I rebuilt the engine and trans. Factory cam on the engine. The trans received a Sonnax kit during the rebuild and a rebuilt converter from CVC with the billet lid. The Land Rover radiator has no trans cooler. I attempted to use the factory cooler which is the full width of the radiator and like three or four rows. I was not monitoring trans temp at all when it went into overtemp/limp mode (I believe locked in fourth). I believe this is 280 degrees +. (YIKES). Since that time, I have been monitoring it closely. I have utilized two of the factory Land Rover coolers in line. I added another cooler (total of three) and still the same issue. I am currently back to one cooler. It is a dual pass (single row deep so essentially one half goes to one side and the second half comes back) and it is the full width of the radiator and approximately 6-8 inches tall and 1.25 inches deep.

Now the things I have noticed. The torque converter stalls around 1200rpm (approximately, the tires break loose). The trans will shift quite low (rpm) if throttle input is low. When I go into lockup and drive on the highway, the trans temp starts to come back down (normal I believe). All of my heat seems to be generated while driving at lower speeds. I know the low stall should not generate nearly as much heat, but my suspicion at this point is maybe my torque converter is stalling too low/shifting too quickly and generating a bunch of heat.

I am not above reproach and will admit it is possible there could be an internal issue as well. I am just curious if anyone has had similar issues with rebuilt torque converters, or any sort of overheating in a swapped vehicle. What size cooler is sufficient to cool this thing? I am desperate, but want to diagnose this thing and not just throw parts at it. Thank you for any help or guidance. I've attached the tune file. I am having trouble adding a log. I will attempt to reply and add a log.

Here are a couple of logs showing some of what I see. I know the OSS of the trans reads 0. I am not sure why, but I also believe my mph would read 0 as well. It seems to be reading correctly though. Thanks again.
