    48RE Diesel Tuning????

Now that we have a lot more parameters for the 04.5+ 48RE's. Curious if anyone has had good luck tuning these in their 5.9 Cummins and cares to share what they have done, found, etc.

My findings so far have not been successful. I have tried shift and TC lock timing, and increasing/decreasing RPM and TPS ranges. Nothing really working to my liking so far.

It’s been a long time since I touched the 48RE but you want to look at the anti-gear hunt limits and upper/lower boundary windows to help get things in where you want them to be. Somewhere there is a thread where I explained the boundary windows.

I had a lot of time put into this and it really helped a ton with the built 48RE we did. Our shifting was hitting hard enough to feel like the input shaft was about to shatter, so everyone's mileage may vary.

I can help with this. Reach out in private messages.
