    Transfering MPVI2 to Another Vehicle

I bought the MPVI2 many years ago to tune my Jeep. No longer have the Jeep.

Need to do some tuning on the 2006 Pontiac Solstice 2.4L E67. Made the first attempt this afternoon and get the need to license warning. Expected. Chose the E67. Got the unlicensed vehicle message.

Check the License Info and I see 1 credit for the Jeep controller/VIN and 2 credits for the Solstice VIN. License Upgrade Path shows 1 credit for the Solstice. Does this mean I need to purchase another credit?

My account says I have 3 credits. 1 is required for the Jeep controller that I don't have and 2 for the Solstice.

I deleted the controller and imported it again. Of course, it says that it's already imported. Resync and nothing has changed. Deleted the license.dat file. Editor is still linked to the Jeep controller.

I have no problem buying another credit. I was expecting to have to do that. Just don't want to waste money if I don't need to.

    Thank you.

The E67 likely has a CCM or FSCM, those require another credit.

Look at the vehicle details icon in the editor it will show how many controllers you read. If you shows the PCM/TCM and one of those other two, that is why it asks for another credit.

You can re-read the car and click gather info before pulling the tune file off it as well. If you re-read it without the extra controller, you won't be prompted with that message again.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

I had seen that in a bunch of other posts.

This is a manual trans. Cal info only shows the E67.

Click the calibration details icon directly under the compare tab in the editor on that file. Then in that window click the controllers tab. If more than just the E67 computer shows up, like a FSCM or CCM, that is why it's asking for another credit.

When you don't post you file, this is why it takes forever to help people.

open a support ticket, include an infolog while connected to the vehicle, the stock file & this file for review.

    Submitted ticket.

I may have accidentally applied the credits to a repository file I was playing around with thinking it was the stock file. Dumb.
