Tazer and the drag strip
for those of you with the earlier cars like myself (the cars that do not have a line-lock) tazer seems like it is such a great deal...
it is, until you fry a RF hub, or a BCM, or end up with a car that cannot hold a charged battery for 72 hours.
i wrote a whole article over at Challenger Talk .com on what you need to do so the damn thing does not lose any of your factory settings
still cannot believe its not the first thing listed in their instructions but this is not a rant about that...
this is just a quick how to for the guy that just wants to be able to use the line lock and cool down features at the track
(and not have his battery dead the next day when he tries to start the car).
1) DO NOT marry the tazer to your car. If you are dead set on doing so, stop right here and go look at CT.com. They made my instructions a sticky. It's in the Electronics section. You do not need to marry the tazer for either of these two features to work (cool down & line lock)
2) do not use remote start while the tazer is plugged in
2) Make sure the vehicle is running when you plug the interface in
3) Right arrow/left side will put fan in high speed, and left arrow/left side combined with up arrow/right side will engage the line lock
4) At the end of the day do not unplug the unit unless the car is running
(none of the other features will work while its plugged in unmarried, but those two will)
and no reboots or sleep cycles will be required after you unplug, as long as the car is running when you do so
this has been my experience
