Need help tuning my 2010 Gen 4 truck. DOD and VVT delete. BTR stage 2 v2 camshaft

I understand the DOD and VVT part pretty well as far as deleting that in the tune file. I watched several of Matt Sanford's videos on tuning these trucks. Most of them are for the Choppycabra or Truck Norris cams. But I used the information as a base line. I'll attach what I can figure out how to. My idle is ok, I runs down the road okay but theres still a lot of tuning to do. In park, I can rev the engine a bit and it just hangs out for an extended period before going back to idle. And when I'm in gear and let off the brake, I'll go 20 mph without touching the gas pedal. It wants to be at 1300-1400 rpm even though I set it as 725. I suspect I need to add fuel as my ST/LT fuel numbers are pretty high. I'll post a log I took while driving. I do have a AEM WB that I still need to install. Thanks for any help in this regard. I was originally going to take it to a shop for the tune but It didn't have enough power to run over flat ground, so now I'm committed Thanks for the input. I also remember Matt mentioning that if you go from VVT to non-VVT, that using the spark table from an earlier non-VVT engine would be a good start. I haven't tried this just yet. Curious what yall have to say before I change too much.

It's going into "cruise control" because your base idle airflow is too high. I'm sure there's more wrong but that's all I looked at.

What are the cam specs.? Looks to me like you killed the bottom end power production based on the MAP at cruising speed.

I suggest you get it to your local tuner or dig in and start reading/comprehending what needs done.

Your base running airflow minimum is far too high. A setup like this should be really 9 g/sec or less and you are at 14. That is giving you that cruise control feeling.

It's really important to tune VVE on this setup. It will help everything else fall inline.

I'm not a fan of dropping other tables from other tunes. Add timing to it.. Keep the added timing in spots that felt an improvement. Go back where it didn't. Remove timing if you encounter repeatable knock.

Great information, thank you. I added air by what was recommended in a video I saw. But tbf he said it was for a truck Norris cam, which would be a bigger cam than mine.

I agree. I think I added 3 g/s per the video I watched but that would?ve still been too much at the factory specification. How about using the repository to compare? I haven?t tried that yet.

You may have been in the wrong units. 3 lb/hr for instance

Just copied and pasted my stock idle airflow table and that helped a ton. STLT fuel is still very high over 20. So I?m going to look into how to tune the VVE table as another suggested

Unless it's in speed density only the fueling is likely coming from mostly the MAF.

Heres an edited version of the tune you posted. I changed the BRAF and put it into SD so you can collect some data for the VVE table. I prefer to use LTFT+STFT histogram for my lower RPM (under4400rpm) I dont have access to the TCM in the tune so im guessing you didnt unlock it. From my experience, a trans tune makes a great difference on gen4 models. Plus, if you deleted the DOD there are several tables in the trans that need to be shut off.

I dont reccomend the guy often, but GRG has some videos on VVE tuning, Im sure matt sanford and some other people do to. Watch some and get familiar. and dont forget to clear fuel trims before each log starts.

You dont unlock anything with your T43 TCM. Not sure what the OP means by unlocking his transmission module. he should have the T43 as well.

Sorry, i assumed he didnt read the module is what i meant to say. I had no access to it in the tune other than 1 tab. Maybe im just not up to date on the latest version?

So i need to read the TCM module? Sorry for my ignorance but this is my first one. I'm looking at the tune file you sent me and adjusting accordingly. I also need to get my WB installed and would like to try the MAF tune GRG did a video on. I did another log today and I find it weird that some cells look like they're recording but no numbers pop up. It's just a blue box when playing back the recording.
