    2012 Ford f150 5.0 ECM bricked!!! Help please!!!

    So after tuning this f150 5.0/6r80 everything was great until I noticed that the "M" function on the trans disappeared, I tried reflashing tune to no avail. Then after that I was told to do a write entire. During that process it failed communication and now I have no connection. I currently have battery unhooked with a charger on it. Any help is greatly appreciated. Am I totally screwed??

    It will not load a stock file. I am going to have it flashed back to stock with Ford Software because I scanned the truck with another scanner and no information was found. So I am going to try this approach prior to buying a new ecm. Its also not showing mileage just dashes across the screen where the mileage display was formerly.

    Have you sent a ticket in to [email protected]? That's the first thing I'd do before throwing parts at it.

    Try forcing recovery mode with your tuner if it supports it. Check fuses related to the PCM and data lines in case something got blown. Since your mileage shows dashes, it seems like total ECU communication loss. If you have a J2534 device, try reflashing with Ford IDS or FDRS before replacing the ECM. Did you get any error codes before the failure?

    Thank you for the reply, I had the ecm reflashed with Ford IDS. Now it's saying it's a unlicensed vehicle. All fuses were fine. No error codes displayed. I'm about over doing this stock ecm crap. Continually have to buy more credits for vehicles I already tuned. It's bizarre. This isn't the first time this has happened. I was hoping someone found a work around but nope.

    Are you sure about that? looks like you sent in a ticket on Tuesday the 25th at 5:01pm, our tech replied back at 7:58am the morning of the 26th, you then replied with none of the files he requested today the 28th at 6:35pm.

    I would highly suggest providing our tech with the files he requested for starters
    1) The stock file you read from the PCM;
    2) The file you are writing to the PCM when the issue occurs;
    3) A VCM Suite Infolog pulled while connected to the vehicle in question. You can find instructions here: https://hptuners.freshdesk.com/suppo...-suite-infolog
    4) The debug.dat file found in your settings folder: https://hptuners.freshdesk.com/suppo...cense-dat-file
