Is there any schedule for a major release of RaceRender to include support for new hardware and codecs?
Is there any schedule for a major release of RaceRender to include support for new hardware and codecs?
Sadly not. The new owners bought it and haven't updated it since.
It doesn't support a lot of new hardware and has had repeatable bugs for years.
A real shame, they had the market sewn up but zero updates in years means it's slowly becoming unuseable.
2 weeks I heard.
Sorry, I feel bad for joking around a bit about it. No, it seems RR and trackaddict are both dead in terms of development and have been for a few years now. Although I haven't used it in years, I did buy RR as well and used it many times, it was great and always adding new things based on user inputs on here.

Yeah, it would have been too good to be true.
This is still planned.

We got this guy Not Sure, ...
Just noticed the HPtuners "want developer" post and have posted this on the RaceCapture Discord channel because I know there are many RaceRender users in the RaceCapture community.
Maybe others can post in other applicable forums, etc. so we can help find an appropriate developer.
RaceRender is a very capable software product that, currently, has no equal (though others are getting close). It'd be wonderful to see RaceRender get a modernization update, along with a native Apple Silicon version for Macs. I'd be happy to pay an upgrade fee for such an update and I'm sure many long-time users would feel the same.
