NEW to HP, Not to Tuning

Good morning! I am Mike, I hope you are all doing well.

So while I am not new to tuning, I am new to HP Tuners. I just bought the unit and no credits yet. So far, I plan to use HP for my TBSS (LS2) swap into my 59 chevy and then possible to tune my 2021 GMC Dmax I just bought. I am not as in to tuning as I used to be, I have experience with Tuner Pro, EFi Live and Holley Dominator.

What I am looking to figure here is how the process works. It seems that now that I have my trusty tuning tool, I need to buy credits for each tune.

One question I would have is, is there a tune dump? I.e., do people share tunes here? I know that seems to be a more old school thing but just curious.

Let's say that I wanted a tune for my Dmax, is there one floating around out there for share or for sale? One that would work on a factory vehicle with no "tuning" required?

Please, let me know how HP world works.

    Thanks!!

Reading your vehicle is free to do (unless the ECM is locked). When you get ready to flash, that is when credits are required. There are files floating around the internet, but I would not recommend using them. Each vehicle is different and using something not meant for your vehicle will cause problems. You can purchase tuning for your vehicles as well but be careful who you choose to use.
