P0011 after DOD delete tick performance street heat stage 3 cam
First post, still learning....
2016 Silverado reg cab l83
Did the Dod delete with tick performance gen v lt kit,
cam specs are 230/243| .639?/.630? | LSA113+3 | +32% Fuel Pump Lobe
morel lifters, tick perfomance pushrods, dual .660 springs.
tick performance phaser lockout installed. 4 degree.
added L86 intake manifold and l86 throttle body.
using a remote tune place and finally got the tune yesterday. fired it up and went to datalog, ended up getting a P0011 (cam position timing over advanced) code.
tuner said the vvt was likely assembled wrong, and needs to be checked over.
another person said just delete the code, looking for 3rd opinions and someone to look over my log and tune to double check things.
thanks

You have a few options: First you can disable the code since you have a physical lockout(I understood you have a lockout at 4 degrees, not a 4 degree limiter) and it will always be in the same position. If you don't want to disable the code by any reason, you need to test 2 files. One at 0 degrees and the other at 4(for example), then log the cam position sensor in both logs and see how many degrees it reads, if it stays in the same number it means you have a lockout and you can change the number of variable camshafts and set it to 0.

If the numbers move around, you have a limiter instead of a lockout, it means you and your tuner can play with it like a normal vvt with the only condition that your range can't be beyond the degrees of your limiter, and your tuner has to modify ALL the "desire angle" related tables to not exceed that range.
Post your current tune with a log so we can help you
