    Spark Knock, real or fake?

I've been picking up spark knock retard values and it seems to be pretty consistent log to log. Attached are the more recent tune and corresponding log files. Happens every time when blipping the throttle at idle, and even picking up some knock around 4500 rpm too.

I had the car on the dyno previously and was making plenty of pulls without any knock at all, but I noticed after the session that the previous tuner had turned down the knock attack rate to .250. I've since raised those values back up and now I'm seeing lots of knock activity. Multiple tanks of fuel (Chevron 92 octane), and even pulled 1-2 degrees of timing from the entire table and still seeing the same knock activity....is this real knock?

I had a "better" file I've been working on for the past few weeks that I will attach in the next post with a corresponding log to that as well, showing some of the same timing/knock issues. I'm really starting to chase my tail here and just cannot understand what is going on. Do stiffer motor mounts induce false knock? Do I need to turn down the sensitivity of the sensors but leave the attack rate alone? Exhaust seems to be clear of the body.

The tune file in this post is a slightly revised version of the file I had from the previous tuner, which drives without any surging or bucking, despite being MAF only. I've been trying to tune out a surge/pulse at light throttle in my revised files below and had to resort to adjusting 02 settings to help, but it's still not as smooth as the "R1" file here.

There is no knock in this (practically)

You know that you'll never get all the knock out right? and if you do that means the tune is exceptionally nuetered or the knock sensors is bad. Aim to have a random degree or two occasionally here and there.

Also.. I almost never adjust knock sensors on GEN 3 or 4. Take that for what it's worth.
